Gwyneth Paltrow is officially the face of Boss Black Boss Nuit Pour Femme perfume. She’ll appear in a multiplatform campaign for the fragrance when it’s released later this year, including TV commercials, print ads and online initiatives.

The actress recently revealed to WWD how well the new gig meshes with her lifestyle. “To me, the Boss woman is driven, ambitious and goes after what she wants, but she balances being strong and very feminine at the same time — characteristics that I strive towards in my own life,” she explained.

The latest Hugo Boss fragrance is inspired by the little black dress, specifically its sensuality and elegance. Do you think Gwyneth Paltrow is the right rep for the perfume?

Ellen DeGeneres is the 2012 recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The accolade is meant to honor “one of the world’s greatest humorists,” and will be presented to DeGeneres on Oct. 22 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

“The Kennedy Center is happy to recognize Ellen DeGeneres’ unique contributions to the world of comedy,” said David M. Rubenstein, the chairman of the Kennedy Center. “Through her television programs, stand-up appearances, movies, and even commercials, her special brand of humor has allowed us to find hilarity in the mundane and has kept us laughing for years.”

DeGeneres issued a statement in response to the accolade, saying, “It’s such an honor to receive the Mark Twain Prize. To get the same award that has been given to people like Bill Cosby, Tina Fey and Will Ferrell, it really makes me wonder… why didn’t I get this sooner?”

In the latest issue of V Magazine, Snooki talks about motherhood and how she stands out from the crowd, making her a target for haters.

“I can’t wait to meet my kid!” she exclaimed. “Everyone will be surprised to see a different side of me. I’m loving, caring, sensitive, protective, and very maternal, no matter what people might think.”

“I really don’t go with trends, I don’t try to fit in like everyone else does in Hollywood. I just like to be different and I don’t care,” she added. “I’ve been bullied all my life. In high school me and my girlfriends were freshmen and we were all pretty girls in cheerleading and stuff, so the older girls would bully us because all of their guys wanted to hang out with us. I think even haters love us. And I have a lot of haters. If you’re being bullied, you can’t let it phase you. Stick up for yourself and they’ll get bored of you.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt recently installed a helicopter pad at their European estate Chateau Miraval, and according to a new report, Jolie surprised her fiance with a $1 million helicopter and flying lessons.

“Ange thought it would be nice to buy Brad a helicopter as a surprise present,” a source told The Sun. “In particular, they would like to be able to fly to and from Cannes. But even though Brad has his private pilot’s license, he still needs to take a few flying lessons, which he’ll start straight away.”

Traveling to local events via helicopter may be just the thing for the Jolie-Pitt clan to minimize contact with the pesky paparazzi.

Pauly D has teamed up with Skinnygirl Cocktails cofounder David Kanbar for REMIX, a signature premade cocktail. The vodka-based flavored beverage is meant for the “pre-game” market, meaning that it’s a drink you’d consume to get a buzz on before you go out for the night.

TMZ reports that buyers snapped up the REMIX cocktail when it was brought to the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America convention. Pauly D’s signature drink had more sales at that convention than the Skinnygirl Cocktails line had in just under two years, according to TMZ’s sources.

A buyout of the product could be particularly lucrative for Pauly D if it continues to take off: Skinnygirl sold for about $120 million. Do you plan on trying REMIX if you see one in a liquor store near you?

The Arundle Castle in Sussex, England has played host to a galaxy of events over its history – one that it probably never anticipated was a photo call for “Snow White and the Huntsman” starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and the world’s biggest box-office star on the planet this week, Chris “Thor” Hemsworth, who’s also the new dad to baby girl India.

The new “X Factor” judges’ lineup has been confirmed. Following years of being judged on everything from her live performances to her erratic behavior, Britney Spears is turning the tables. She’ll sit at the judges’ table in the seat previously occupied by the equally erratic Paula Abdul. Stepping in for former judge Nicole Scherzinger is 19-year-old Demi Lovato, who promises to represent the younger generation.

Now that “The X Factor” judges are confirmed, speculation is turning to who will be the new host when the show returns.
